Science Program Support of Delta Vision
The CALFED Science Program is providing science support for the Delta Vision process, a process ordered by the Governor and Legislature of California, to develop a vision and strategic plan for the Delta's future as a sustainable ecosystem and water supply system. The information we provide is used by the Delta Vision Blue Ribbon Task Force to ensure their vision and strategic plan is founded upon the best scientific information available.
Under the leadership of the Delta Vision Science Advisors, Dr. Michael Healey, former CALFED Lead Scientist and Dr. Jeffrey Mount, CALFED Independent Science Board Chair, the Science Program utilizes the knowledge of leading researchers throughout the nation to conduct workshops, host independent scientific reviews, and compose informative policy relevant products in a timely manner.
