CALFED Bay-Delta Program heading

Science Program Events Vision Statement

One of the goals of the CALFED Bay-Delta Science Program is to provide authoritative and unbiased descriptions of scientific knowledge. One of the ways that this can be accomplished is by holding Workshops, Seminars, Reviews and Conferences.

The Science Program will, upon request from the CALFED agencies, organize and convene a formal process to define the state of knowledge with regard to specific contentious issues affecting accomplishment of CALFED goals. In each case, the Science Program will require a written draft report synthesizing the state of knowledge. The Program will then convene an expert panel and conduct a public peer review of the draft synthesis. Upon incorporation of necessary changes, the Lead Scientist will transmit the final report to CALFED.
